The second edition of this prestigious competition was won by the Europe B team, which defeated the Asia B team 5:3 in the final. Just after the final fight, a ceremonial closing ceremony took place.
After three days of competition, Europe B, Asia A, Africa & Rest of the World, and Asia B teams advanced to the semi-finals. The Americas and Europe A teams were eliminated. In the next phase of the championship, fate crossed the paths of Europe B and Africa & Rest of the World (semi-final 1). This match ended with an undisputed victory for the Europeans 7:1. The only win for Africa was won by Nicola Illse Rossouw in Heyball.
The second semi-final between Asia A and Asia B started at noon. The eight matches included in this match ultimately ended in a 4-4 draw. The Asia A snooker players won both matches, but in Carom 3-Cushion the Asia B team were better. In Pool 10-ball and Heyball, both teams recorded one victory each. This meant a playoff that was to be decided at one table. The men’s 10-ball pool was drawn, with Bader Al-Awadi (Asia B) and Mohammed Soufi (Asia A) facing each other. The Syrian lost this battle 0:2. Asia B landed in the finals, and the losers had to play for third place.
The bronze medals finally went to the Asia A team, which defeated Africa & Rest of the World 7:1. An honorable victory for Africa was won by Guzin Mujde Karakasli, who defeated Yuko Nishimoto in Carom 3-Cushion.
