Hong Kong (China) is the World Team Snooker Champions

Team Hong Kong China of Cheung Ka Wai and Chang Yu Kiu has won the World Men Team Snooker Championship 2023. The final was played today at the La Maison Hotel in Doha Qatar where they defeated team Cyprus (Michael Georgiou & Antonis Poullos) 4-2 to win the title.

This title has returned to Hong Kong China after 9 years. The last time Fung Kwok Wai & Lee Chun Wai won the Men team title for Hong Kong China in 2014.

Today the final was started with a flawless break by Micheal Georgiou of 81 points. But in the next frame, Chang showed his skills and won the frame 75-19 against Antonis.

The Hong Kong players continued their winning streak and secured the next two frames to lead 3-1.

Chang gave a good start to the fifth frame but Chang missed at an important stage, which allowed Michael to score a break of 51 to cut the deficit.

In the next doubles frame when team Cyprus gave them a chance, Chang used that opportunity to convert into the match-winning break of 54 and secured 4-2 win to become World Team Snooker Champions.
