Kamal Chawla Lifts His Maiden World Championship Title

Kamal Chawla has secured his first World Championship title by winning the 2024 IBSF World Men’s 6-Red Snooker Championship. This triumph follows his previous appearance in the finals in 2017, where he took home the silver medal.

The final match started off tough for Kamal, as his opponent Asjad Iqbal from Pakistan quickly won the first two frames, taking a 2-0 lead. However, Kamal turned the match around in the third frame, delivering an impressive break of 71 points. From that moment, he seized control, winning frame after frame and establishing a 4-2 advantage.

Although Asjad had a few opportunities to mount a comeback in the seventh and eighth frames, Kamal maintained his dominance, winning both the frames to clinch the title 6-2.

Richard Wienold from Germany and Malkeet Singh from India both earned bronze medals as semifinalists.
