Masako Katsura (桂 マサ子, March 7, 1913 – 1995), nicknamed “Katsy” and sometimes called the “First Lady of Billiards”, was a Japanese carom billiards player who was most active in the 1950s.

With the immense pleasure IBSF hereby announces that Armenia is now a member of the International Billiards & Snooker Federation.

On behalf of the IBSF Executive Board and all the members of IBSF, I welcome Armenian Federation as a new member. I also wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Armenia for becoming a member of the Billiard Sports fraternity.

The UMB organization was in the well-known hands of the BEN organization team with JUMBO as the main event sponsor, under the auspices of the European Billiard Confederation (CEB) and the Royal Dutch Billiard Federation (KNBB).

We started the year 2021 with good news, with the confidence that conditions will improve quickly, and that the situation will soon return to “normal” distancing, as the COVID-19 Worldwide vaccination progresses. We hope that we all safely will return to our daily activities and that we will finally stop suffering from this tragic pandemic. Our sport, like all other sports, will then resume its international events, following the recovery of national sports activities as their COVID_19 situation will permit.

The UMB Virtual Challenges attracted a great audience with almost 1 million views. This means that every match was followed by 16.000 viewers on average over all media platforms.

The introduction of UMB Virtual Challenges during this COVID-19 times has been a great success, far beyond our expectations.

Reigning World Champion Nutcharat Wongharuthai of Thailand wins the Inaugural World Women Snooker 6Red Cup 2020. In the final, she defeated German player Diana Stateczny 5-3 and claimed the title for this high prize money event.

German player Diana Stateczny was a comfortable winner as she easily outclassed World 6Red No.2 Amee Kamani of India in the semi-final match of ongoing World Women Snooker 6Red Cup 2020 at QBSF Academy in Doha, Qatar.

Polish player Izabela Łącka qualified for the quarter-final stage of World Women Snooker 6Red Cup 2020 after winning the match for qualification 3-0 against Hind Bennani of Morocco.

Indian player Amee Kamani hit the break of 71 points, which is highest so far in the World Women Snooker 6Red Cup 2020.

Two of the best players from Europe, Wendy Jans from Belgium who holds multiple world titles and multiple European champion Tatjana Vasiljeva of Latvia faced each other in the quarter-final match of World Women Snooker 6Red Cup 2020 here at the QBSF Academy in Doha, Qatar.

Moroccan women player Hind Bennani displayed an impressive game of snooker here in World Women Snooker 6Red Cup 2020. This is her first appearance in any IBSF event and has shown tremendous improvement within two days of competition.

Former European champion, Tatjana Vasiljeva of Latvia returned to Green Baize after a sabbatical of around two years. She is participating in the ongoing World Women Snooker 6Red Cup 2020 here in QBSF Academy and won her first match against Russian player Svetlana Kozyreva 3-0.
