WCBS Announces First-Ever Multi-Discipline Championship for Billiards Sports
A moment that all billiards fans have been waiting for! The World Confederation of Billiards Sports (WCBS) for the first time will organise the WCBS Championship for both Men and Women combining the three disciplines of Carom, Pool, and Snooker.
The WCBS Championship will take place from the 20th to 23rd July 2023 and will be organised by the Turkish Billiards Federation (Türkiye Bilardo Federasyonu – TBF) in Ankara, Turkey.
The first of its kind WCBS Championship is a big step forward in fulfilling WCBS’s vision to promote and develop Billiards Sports around the world.
WCBS President Ian Anderson says, “We are thrilled to announce the first-ever WCBS Championship. WCBS aims to unite the global Billiards community and this Championship bringing all the three disciplines of Carom, Pool, and Snooker under one roof will help us come closer to that goal.”
The overall team competition format and the playing system will be decided during the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.
WCBS is excited to work with its member federations IBSF, UMB, and WPA to host this mega event.
