WCBS Announces New Appointments to the WCBS Board

The WCBS recently hosted its 2nd WCBS Championship in Kielce, Poland, from 25th to 28th July 2024. This 4-day competition saw six teams compete across the disciplines of Carom 3-Cushion, Heyball, Pool 10-Ball, and Snooker.

The second edition of this prestigious competition was won by Team Europe B, which defeated Team Asia B 5:3 in the finals. The event was a great success, attracting athletes from approximately 40 different countries competing for the coveted title.

During the Championship, the WCBS Board Members convened for the WCBS General Assembly to discuss several important matters, including the addition of new board members and the roles of existing board members.

The World Confederation of Billiards Sports (WCBS) is pleased to welcome Ishaun Singh as Vice President and Jorgen Sandman and Barry Jenner as Board Members, all representing the World Pool Association (WPA). In addition to these new appointments, incumbent Board Member James Leacy will assume the role of Anti-Doping Director. These appointments mark a significant step forward in our commitment to promoting and developing the sport of billiards globally.

The WCBS would also like to extend its sincere gratitude to Ian Anderson, Marcin Krzemiński, and Shane Tyree, who have retired from their roles on the WCBS board.

With these new appointments and the continued support of our dedicated members, the WCBS looks forward to a bright future for billiard sports.
