In an emotional year for the country, Turkiye’s best 3-cushion players dug deep and gave it their all. Semih Sayginer and Tayfun Tasdemir were unstoppable in Viersen, where they gave their country the third World Title for National Teams in a row. The strong twosomes of Sweden, the Netherlands, and Spain had to settle for silver and bronze.

WCBS Anti-Doping Commission member Jim Leacy attended The 2023 Sport Ireland AD Forum. The program covered, among other things:

One day before the start of the 9-ball World Championship, anti-doping training was held for the players. About 80 people gathered in the Targi Kielce Congress Hall. WCBS Anti-Doping Director Marcin Krzemiński provided the main information on the rules for obtaining temporary permission to use therapeutic use of drugs (TUE – Therapeutic Use Exemption), the database of prohibited substances and methods and activities of WCBS and partners in the field of anti-doping education.

Marcin Krzemiński, WCBS Anti-Doping Director, provided key information on the rules for obtaining a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE), the database of prohibited substances and methods, and the anti-doping educational efforts of WCBS and its partners.

The WCBS Anti-Doping Committee, in partnership with the WCBS Solidarity Anti-Doping Fund, hosted an educational course for participants of the Grand Prix of Poland POL TOUR – 8-Ball. Held at Strefa Club in Łódź, Poland on January 21, 2023, the session attracted 135 attendees eager to learn about anti-doping practices.

The best Polish players participated in the anti-doping training conducted in Kielce by the Anti-Doping Director of WCBS, Marcin Krzemiński. The day before the individual Polish Men’s and Women’s Championships started, 40 people gathered at the Bińkowski Hotel.

Today the prestigious Lausanne Billard Masters ended in the world capital of sport in the Helvetic city.
After two days of competition, it was time for the finals, the African team from AMECC prevailed 50/34 over the AMERICAN team from CPB, conquering third place, in the Asian Final they defeated Europe, the team made up of CHO and SON prevailed also 50 / 34 to the Europeans KILIC AND KOGELBAUER.

This promotion tournament leaves a good feeling and we trust that these projects help promote young players.
