Anti-Doping
The Anti-Doping Fund Inauguration
In an effort to strengthen the fight against doping in billiard sports, the World Confederation of Billiards Sports (WCBS) has established a special fund at the request of the Chairman of the WCBS Anti-Doping Commission, Marcin Krzemiński. The newly created WCBS Solidarity Anti-Doping Fund will collect contributions aimed at supporting anti-doping initiatives across the sport.
The fund’s first major initiative was a training course organized for activists and players participating in the 2nd EEBC Men’s 9-Ball Championship, held from June 2–3, 2022, in Petrich, Bulgaria. The session took place at the Balkan Billiard Centre and saw a turnout of 60 participants who were eager to learn more about the importance of anti-doping measures.
Krzemiński led the course, guiding attendees through the critical issues surrounding doping in billiards and how athletes and officials can work together to maintain the integrity of the sport.
This training marked the beginning of the WCBS Solidarity Anti-Doping Fund’s mission to educate and empower the billiard community in the fight for clean and fair competition.
