Darren Morgan from Wales has won the World Masters Snooker title 6th time in his career. Today in the final, he defeated former World Team Cup Champion Manan Chandra from India who was playing in the Masters’ category for the first time.

Wendy Jans once again claimed the World Women Snooker title that she lost in 2019. This is the 9th World title of her career.

In a demonstration of skill and class, Tayfun Tasdemir has won the 2022 UMB 3-cushion world title. In Donghae City, South Korea, he defeated Ruben Legazpi in a one-sided final: 50-14 in 15/14 innings. For Turkiye, it had been a nineteen-year wait since Semih Sayginer was world champion in 2003.

A sigh of relief from Blomdahl, some champion stress for Jaspers, and brilliant moments from youngsters Cho and D’Agata. The most prominent casualties in the two days of group play: D.A.C. Nguyen, Jun Tae Kim, Pedro Piedrabuena, Murat Naci Coklu. After two long days, the best 32 players in the world are ready for the K.O. stage. The two main favorites for the Veghel World Cup shared the bronze. An outsider with great technical skills won the silver. But the day and the week belonged to the 60-year-old from Sweden: Torbjörn Blomdahl, who won his 45^th World Cup.

Fedor Gorst defeated Roberto Gomez to win the FargoRate Ohio Open and become the first man to win three Predator Pro Billiard Series titles, while his Filipino opponent has now lost in three finals on this series.

A World Championship is always an important event, no matter the sport.  No different for the 2022 WPA World Artistic Pool Championships that was held October 6-8 at the League Room in Parkersburg West Virginia.  The last WPA World Artistic Pool Championships was also held at the League room in February of 2020.  Chi-Ming Lin from Taiwan won the last event before covid, and he was back to battle it out with Artistic Pool Players from around the globe to defend his title.  The event is separated into two parts, the preliminaries and the playoffs.  During the preliminaries, players will shoot a total of 40 shots through out the eight disciplines of artistic pool with various degrees of difficulty. (6 point to 10 point) Players with the highest score in each of those eight disciplines will be that year’s World Discipline Champion and there was some history made with discipline titles this year.

The Union Mondiale de Billard (UMB) held its 32^nd Congress & General Assembly in Valencia, Spain, on Saturday, October 15^th, 2022.

Francisco Sanchez Ruiz has won the 2022 US Open Pool Championship at Harrah’s Resort, Atlantic City beating Austria’s Max Lechner 13-10 in the final to shoot to World No.1 on the Live Nineball World Rankings taking home the $50,000 first place prize and becoming the first Spaniard to win one of pool’s oldest majors.

Another training for players on the basics of anti-doping rules in sports took place at the Abrikot club in Torrevieja.

A total of 20 people participated in the training session. They were athletes taking part in the international EEBC Pyramid Tour. The WCBS Anti-Doping Committee’s Director, Marcin Krzeminski, conducted the session.

Malaysian Teams, Team 1 and Team 2 have both won the medals at the World Men Team Snooker Championships held in their country’s capital city Kuala Lumpur.

A comprehensive training session focused on the fundamental anti-doping regulations for billiards sports was held at the Abrikot Club in Torrevieja, Spain. Twenty players competing in the international EEBC Pyramid Tour Tournament participated in the training.

Pankaj Advani from India won his career’s 25th world title today at the High End Snooker Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where he won the World Billiards (150-Up) Championship for the year 2022. In the final of best of seven games, Pankaj defeated his compatriot Sourav Kothari 4-0 in a one-sided battle.
