Yapp Wins Seybert’s Michigan Open Again; Fisher is Women’s Champion
Aloysius Yapp successfully defended his Seybert’s Michigan Open title with a 4-2, 4-1 win over Robbie Capito in the final, and Kelly Fisher won her fourth Pro Billiard Series event with a shootout victory over Wei Tzu Chien in the women’s final at the Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.
3-Cushion World Championship Juniors – A Star is Born: Burak Hashas is Junior World Champion
The billiard world already knew he was a great talent. Now it is evident that he is a champion as well: 16-year-old Burak Hashas from Turkey is the new UMB 3-cushion Junior World Champion. In a spectacular but one-sided final, he beat Greece’s Dimitrios Seleventas to win the 2022 title: 35-10 in 19/18 innings.
5-Pins World Championships in Calangianus, Italy – Andrea Quarta is the New World Champion
What a triumph for Andrea Quarta! At the just-finished World Championships in 5-Pins- Billiards, the 40-year-old Italian won the title and thus secured his second World Championship after 2008.
In front of his home crowd in Calangianus/Sardinia, Quarta played a great final against the Argentinean Ricardo Dieguez, which he won in the end with 4:0 sets.
Klompenhouwer Wins a Record Fifth World Championship
The UMB Ladies 3-cushion World Championship had a towering favorite: Therese Klompenhouwer. And the Dutch lady from Nijkerk delivered: undefeated in the tournament, never really in danger. She dominated the final against Korean talent Ji Eun Han from the start with an early run of eight and finished it 30-16 in 22 innings.

The Philippines defeated Great Britain 3-0 in the final in Klagenfurt, Austria to be crowned 2022 Predator World Teams Champions, eight years after finishing runners-up the last time the event was staged.

Dani Sánchez wins his 15th World Cup
The 2022 UMB Seoul World Cup will mostly be remembered for the two majestic semifinals on Sunday. The final was, unfortunately for the talented Korean Myeong Jong Cha, a one-sided affair with Sánchez in control from start to finish: 50-19 in 16 innings. The Spaniard is turning into the main “angstgegner” for world champion Dick Jaspers, who has now lost five in a row to Sánchez. The Dutchman, however, remains solidly in first place on the world ranking.
Liam Creates History with the Hat-Trick of Titles
Liam Davies from Wales has sensationalised the World of Snooker by achieving the rarest combination of winning all three titles for the World Junior Snooker category i.e. Under-16, Under-18 and Under-21 in the same year on the same tour.
