The Maldives Open 2024, sanctioned by the World Pool Association, has concluded with a breathtaking display of skill and determination. From June 25th to June 30th, the beautiful Malé City hosted 80 top-tier athletes competing in the prestigious 10-Ball Championship. With a total prize pool of $130,000, the stakes were high, and the competition fierce.

The World Confederation of Billiards Sports (WCBS) is delighted to announce the player list for the 2^nd WCBS Championship to be held in Kielce, Poland from 25-28 July 2024.

The second consecutive edition held in Ankara of the World Artistic Billiards Championship has closed with the unappealable victory of the Turkish player Haci Arap Yaman, escorted by the Turkish players Baris Cin who obtained the silver medal and Serdar Gumus, only the Spanish player Hector Cuadrado was able to resist Turkish hegemony, reaching the podium with the bronze medal.

It was an eight-year wait, but worth it. Jung Han Heo from South Korea, one of the most stylish 3-cushion players on the circuit, followed his 2016 El Gouna win with a victory in Ankara in 2024, where he beat Phuong Vinh Bao from Vietnam in the final: 50 – 31 in 26/25.  

Poland will once again host a large billiards event. After the 9-ball World Championship and the Polish 10-ball Open, it is time for the second WCBS Championship, which will be held in Kielce on July 25-28, 2024. The tournament sponsors have been announced.

In a gripping showdown at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal City Sports Hall in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Fedor Gorst emerged victorious as the 2024 WPA World 9-Ball Champion. The event, organised by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Sport, the Saudi Arabian Billiard & Snooker Federation, and the WPA’s promoter Matchroom Sport Limited, saw Gorst narrowly defeat Eklent Kaci with a final score of 15-14.

The IBSF is glad to announce the World Junior Snooker Championships 2024 for the Under-17 Men and the Under-21 Men & Women categories from 24th to 31st August 2024 at Bengaluru in India. These championships are being hosted by the Billiards & Snooker Federation of India (BSFI).
