Konrad Juszczyszyn is the new champion of the 2023 Medalla Light Puerto Rico Open. The Pole earned his first Predator US Pro Billiard Series title and $37,500, defeating Roland Garcia from the Philippines in two sets: 4-2, 4-1.

Team Hong Kong China of Cheung Ka Wai and Chang Yu Kiu has won the World Men Team Snooker Championship 2023. The final was played today at the La Maison Hotel in Doha Qatar where they defeated team Cyprus (Michael Georgiou & Antonis Poullos) 4-2 to win the title.

A much-awaited dream came true for everyone associated with snooker in Qatar when their star player Ali Alobaidli became the the World Snooker Champion for 2023.

Martin Horn got beaten in a one-sided final of great quality: 50-22 in 12 (!) innings. It was the best World Cup final ever to 50 points. 

Five new WPA World Champions were crowned yesterday in Austria as Klagenfurt played host to over 200 billiards stars from around the world, with $400,000 on the line.

Men World 8-Ball: American Shane Van Boening claimed his maiden Predator WPA World 8-Ball Championship title and $75,000 first prize, solidifying his legacy with a 10-7 victory over the talented Sanjin Pehlivanovic from Bosnia Herzegovina.

The fourth World Cup of 2023 will be played in Veghel, the Netherlands, from 22-28 October. The small city in the South of the country has also hosted World Cups in 2022, 2021 and 2019, with Torbjörn Blomdahl, Dani Sánchez and Haeng Jik Kim as the winners. For many years, Veghel was home to the Dutch 3-cushion championship, known as “The Masters”. There’s always an appreciative crowd in the old industrial building “De Koekbouw”, and the 148 player slots are easily filled.

Kudos to Joshua Filler, who emerged victorious in the 2023 Qatar Open 9-Ball championship and secured the coveted $50,000USD first prize! He showcased his prowess by defeating the formidable Ko Ping Chung with a score of 13-9 in a thrilling contest featuring a two-break format. Ko Ping Chung displayed exceptional skill and determination, earning himself a commendable $25,000USD as the runner-up. Heartfelt congratulations to both finalists and every participant in this exciting tournament.

The EXPO of Calangianus was ready this morning to show the final stage of this amazing competition.

In the morning session the two semifinals were planned.

On the main TV table the all-Italian team of Marco Zanetti and Michelangelo Aniello faced Luc Tran Thanh (Viet Nam) and Daniel Lopez (Italy). Zanetti made immediately clear his intentions scoring the 25 points of the carom fraction in only 6 innings, his opponent could only score 11 points. Consequently the road to the victory for Aniello in the 5-pins fraction was cleared. The final score was 200-154 for the Italians.

Fisher defeated Chieh-Yu Chou in 2 sets to claim her second consecutive Michigan Open victory.

The final day in Battle Creek, Michigan couldn’t have been more exciting, with women’s Final 4 showcasing an outstanding level of play.

Aloysius Yapp appeared virtually unbeatable in Battle Creek. When he orchestrated a comeback from being one set down against Gorst in the semifinal, the enticing chance at a third win in a row in Michigan seemed well within reach. Only one polish player could stop his dream: Wiktor Zieliński.
